John Whitgift Academy is an academy on a journey to get to good and then outstanding. We pride ourselves on being small and caring greatly about each and every student. This academy is inclusive and is outward looking; establishing close partnerships with local primary schools, businesses, college providers and universities.

We offer each student a personalised and up to date learning pathway that meets the needs of all learners and ensures that all students are prepared for the next stage in their learning journey, whether that is college, apprenticeships, the work of work or university.
Our resources will not be surpassed by other local secondary academies, boasting two full sized swimming pools, gym and sports hall, excellent engineering facilities, an Art Studio and our very own 220 seat theatre.
Our student numbers continue to rise year upon year and our determination to become the academy of choice within three years is unrelented. We remain passionate about each student being given the skills to not only survive but thrive in modern Britain and to have the confidence and determination to feel happy and fulfilled.
