Faraday Challenge Day

Based on a real-world problem, the Virtual Faraday Challenge brings together STEM subjects (science, design and technology, engineering and maths) in an engaging way and encourages the development of young people’s problem solving and communication skills.

This season’s Virtual Faraday Challenge tasks young people to see if they can assist the work of The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) in designing a product to help IHEEM members service a children’s hospital.

Mrs Mead was delighted with year 8 students this.

Many thanks to everybody for supporting the Faraday Challenge Day. Our students have been a delight and highly praised by the presenter from the Institute of Engineering and Technology. My congratulations to the winning team of Ryan C, Paige K, Kaitlin S, Sean C,  Amber C and Harlow B. Their winning score of 80 currently puts them in the National Finals . The current average high score on a Challenge Day is 56 so you can see they really did excel.
