JWA quiz night is roaring success

The senior leadership team from JWA invited staff from local primary schools to join us on Thursday, 8th November for the first ever JWA quiz night. It was great to be joined by: Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe, Woodlands Primary, Ormiston South Parade, Little Coates; Great Coates; Wybers Wood, Strand and Willows.

Guests were treated to an array of drinks and a delicious buffet, whilst Mr Tuffnell was the quiz master and put teams through their paces. Rounds included politics, music, sport, Literature and Science, amongst others. The bonus round was tricky, with questions on the lyrics of Elvis Presley.

JWA split into two teams with Mr Spendlow, Mrs Young, Miss Glaves and Mr White on one team, and scored 87 points, whilst Mrs Westerman-Smith, Mrs Clark, Mrs Smiech and Mr Bee formed the second team and finished on 93 points. However, we weren’t able to match the superior general knowledge of Little Coates Primary who won the quiz with 107 points.

Overall, a fantastic night was had by all, with much mirth and merriment. Look out for more collaborative events in the future.
