KS4 (Years 10 and 11) Course details and AssessmentsCombined Science: There are six papers: two biology, two chemistry and two physics. Each of the papers will assess knowledge and understanding from distinct topic areas.
There are 21 required practicals embedded into course. There is no better way to learn about science than through purposeful practical activities as part of our day to day teaching.

Triple science (3 separate GCSEs in biology, chemistry and physics) builds upon the deepening scientific knowledge and the understanding of ideas developed in earlier key stages in the separate subject disciplines of biology, chemistry, and physics. Students develop scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding, learn to apply observational, practical, modelling, enquiry, problem-solving skills and mathematical skills and develop their understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science.
